Please Help Darek Live with ALS
Update: Darek died on
September 20, 2020. The fundraiser is still going on with the
aim of helping with the medical expenses for his care.
In 2014 at age of 51
Darek was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehring disease). Darek lives
with his wife Ania and daughter Ruth on Vashon Island and have
been battling the ALS for 5 years now. He knows his story will
have no happy ending but he is trying to live the best life he
can. He wrote a book about his experience as ALS patient,
becoming increasingly disabled and dependent on his family as
caregivers for basic life functions. The book was written in
Polish and published as "Maly Wielki Tydzien. Ksiazka napisana
jednym palcem" by Pruszynski i S-ka and is available for
purchase at:
https://www.proszynski.pl/Maly_wielki_tydzien__Ksiazka_napisana_jednym_palcem-p-36638-.html

a happy ending but is full of life and humor you would not
expect from someone slowly dying and losing control of his life.
To make a donation to help with
Darek's life care expenses and learn more about his life please

usual business hours, so you can call with an order & stop
by to pick it up. Both businesses also registered with the
popular delivery apps such as UberEats, Postmates or
GrubHub so you can order a delivery to your home as well.
Finally, both businesses take special orders for Easter.

Learning Polish on the internet |
Please read info about Libratus schools and Polish government
proposals posted on
the
FAQ page.
Below there is some
info about learning Polish with help of internet as recommended
by Readers or submitted to
the Editor by different educational outfits.
Reader recommended free podcasts and paid
subscriptions with Piotr.
Seems great for Polish-Americans, that is
people who know the language somewhat,
understand more, speak less and would like to
take it to the next level.
In small daily chunks, regular readings etc.
